3-WAY LINK EXCHANGE MULTI-WAY LINKS

3-way and Multi-way link exchange
 3-way and multi-way configurations
The following shows multi-way linking (in this case 4-way linking). It is a LIVE example involving 4 sample interlinking sites: A B C D A

Please click on the links to see the configuration:
A is Astrocrystal.com PR4 homepage
B is TidyMobile.com PR2 homepage
C is Coolcuty.com PR3 homepage
D is Cuteflame.com PR4 homepage

A is a partner of B only. A wants B to link to C. In return, A will link to B.
Example (A B): Astrocrystal.com Directory is linking to www.TidyMobile.com.

B is a partner of A only. B links to what A wants as long as A links to B.
Example (B C): TidyMobile.com Directory is linking to www.Coolcuty.com as specified by its sole partner Astrocrystal.com.

C is a partner of D only. C wants D to link to A in return for C linking to D.
Example (C D): CoolCuty.com Directory is linking to www.Cuteflame.com.

D is a partner of C only. D links to what C wants as long as C links to D.
Example (D A): CuteFlame.com Directory is linking to www.AstroCrystal.com as specified by its sole partner CoolCuty.com.

Due to each site having only 1 partner (more partners can be added), there is only 1 link in its directory. Having more Partners will equate to more links in each directory. This example shows that if you have many sites, you can control them to link the way you want at LinksCitadel, and take advantage of the powerful multi-way link feature. A and C require a subscription upgrade to activate the 3-way linking feature, while B and D are free sites and do not require any subscription upgrade.

If you own or control more than 1 site, our system supports 3-way and M-way link exchange configurations.

There are 2 configurations for multi-way linking: Open loop and Closed loop. The open loop configuration is where the first site only gives links, and the last site only receives links. When you have 2 sites and your partner has 1 site, the total number of sites is 3 which is an odd number. If the total number of sites is an odd number, the configuration must be Open Loop.

Example: You own sites A and C. Your partner owns site B. You can configure A B C.   A gives a link but does not receive any link. C receives a link but does not give any link, and this would be called an open loop configuration. A and B are sole partners. C does not need to be registered with LinksCitadel.

If A and B each has other partners, let's say also partners X, Y, and Z (where X, Y, Z are each configured for reciprocal trading and are partners to all sites), we would have concurrent links as follows:

A B C    (A is configured for 3-way linking, and therefore, B links to C in return for A linking to B)

A X C    (A is configured for 3-way linking. All its partners X, Y, Z will also link to C)
A Y C
A Z C

X B X    (B and X, Y, Z have reciprocal relationship)
Y B Y
Z B Z

X Y X
X Z X
Y Z Y

A gives 4 links, and C gets 4 links from all 4 partners. In addition, B, X, Y, and Z give and get reciprocal links from the other partners, except when trading with A. C is not a registered site in the system, and only receives links from A's partners (B, X, Y, Z).

if you own or control more than 2 sites and the total number of sites is still an odd number, we can expand the open loop concept to include serial linking between the sites. As an example, for sites A, B, C, D, E, ... to ZZ, Each site is serially linked from A to ZZ:

A B C D E ... ZZ

A and B are sole partners. C and D are sole partners. E and F are sole partners, and so on. Similar to the first method, there is no link back to A from ZZ (for odd number of sites). Since site ZZ does not give any link, it does not need to be registered with LinksCitadel. All sites between A and ZZ can be interlinked with each other in a multi-way serial configuration.

If each site (except ZZ) also has 2 additional partners such as with sites W and X, then the following links would exist:

A B C    (A is configured for 3-way linking. So B, W, X will link to C)
A W C
A X C

W B W    (B, W, X have reciprocal relationship)
X B X

C D E    (C is configured for 3-way linking. So D, W, X will link to E)
C W E
C X E

W D W    (D, W, X have reciprocal relationship)
X D X

The above pattern is repeated with E F G, and further along the chain for the rest of the sites before ZZ. Finally, ZZ is a site that does not need to be registered with LinksCitadel. Basically each partner's directory would contain a total of 3 links. In the above example, A's directory would link to B, W, X.

if you own or control more than 2 sites and the total number of sites is an even number, you can configure the last site to link back to the first site.

A B C ... Y ZZ A

ZZ would be configured to link back to A as follows:

Y ZZ A    (Y is configured for 3-way linking. So ZZ, W, X will link to A)
Y W A
Y X A

Basically each partner's directory would contain a total of 3 links. In the above example, A's directory would link to B, W, X.
